  • I just wrapped up 220 hrs at CRPC with much success. I herniated my entire spine in a fall. Was shuffling around bent over walking with a cane. I had to have a neck fusion right away and one surgeon wanted to fuse my spine. (L4-L5, L5-S1) A back fusion was not something I wanted to do. This is where CPRC comes in. CPRC has helped with my back pain and taught me how to further take care of it upon completion of my time there. You devote 8 hrs a day, 5 days a week to your spine in the program. There are group times where patients talk to each other and it helps in many situations. There are relaxation periods as well. I still have my back injury but they got me to a manageable place of what my new normal is and I am pleased with the outcome based on how I was when I started and how I am in completion. Dr. Alianell is the pain management doctor and that is a good man. He has compassion and never rushes you. He truly wants you to be happy and comfortable. Jessica the PT Tech is great. She is knowledgeable and encourages you. Ladine in the PT area is always ready to help you. She is a kind soul and gives fantastic massages. There is a Counselor on staff as well. Lindsey (the counselor) who truly has been an asset to the patients there. She is an excellent listener and offers such valuable guidance. Without her, I know of a few who would have dropped out. Rita, who does myofascial release therapy is also incredible. If you have never had this done, well you are missing out. It was my first experience and it was amazing. You get this once a week. All the office staff are friendly. Dr. Bricken comes off nice and he is for the most part but he is frustrating as well. I understand being frugal but he seems downright stingy. I have put in a few calls since I ended the program to discuss something but he won’t return your phone calls unless he can bill you! I am out of the program now so he can’t make money on me so he can’t be bothered with me. He does tend to make other patients feel this way as well. This is not the only issue I experienced with how he is but, I won’t lose sleep over it for sure. The program is good and I do recommend it. There could be more organization and structure but the exercise and counseling part make the rest not as important.
